Getting Close

Wow, I haven't written in awhile.  Things are getting close to opening.  I'm thinking we might be able to pull off opening the last week of August.  I've been painting and painting and painting.  The place looks amazing.  Look for photos soon.

Website Launches

The new website launched last week!  I'm so happy with it.  It was designed by my friends Leigh and Dave and it's just perfect.  It really captures the atmosphere of the studio.  Over the past week, I've been getting the information up on it.  So check it out if you haven't already at WeAreYogaCulture.com.

The work continues . . .

Still working on the studio and on everything it takes to set it up.  Kevin has been preparing the walls so we can paint and install the flooring.  I am meditating on the look of it all - I know it will come to me.

The logo is getting finalized.  The website is being built - we have some preliminary work - it's gonna be awesome.

I spend most of my time on the phone or email ordering services and researching items we need to purchase.  Not that exciting, but necessary.  And I'm making friends along the way, which is fun - already the community is forming.  What a great business to set up.  Whenever I meet someone, they're so interested in the whole yoga idea.  It's adorable.

The Work Begins

Kevin (my husband) and I pulled up the industrial carpeting in the studio yesterday.  We've picked out flooring, so we just need to prepare the area for installation.  Other than mistakenly receiving the bank's electric bill (causing a little bit of stress until we figured out the meters were switched), things have been smooth so far.  With the carpet out of there, the studio is looking like it's on its way to being a studio rather than an office.  Pretty soon . . .

First Post!

Hi Yogis!  Here's the place from the outside.

The address is 105 Mill Plain Rd, above the Webster Bank.  We are two doors down from the Trader Joe's / Starbucks Plaza off I-84 Exit 2 in Danbury, Connecticut.  Right now we are getting the place in shape and hoping to open sometime in August.  There is some work to do and we're not sure how long it'll take to do it.  Stay posted, follow the blog and send us your email address so we can update you on progress and an opening date.  More pictures to follow.  Talk to you soon!
